common sense media

Common Sense Media is the US nonprofit behind the age ratings and reviews that parents check before handing a kid a film, game or app. The same rating apparatus now points at AI: its Youth AI Safety Institute grades ChatGPT-5 high risk and Grok unacceptable for kids.

Notes

White space does most of the work: a single forest green carries the wordmark, the headlines and the pill-shaped Join buttons, and outside the photography almost nothing else is tinted. The page reads as one long argument — three pillars split by hairline rules, then three outlined cards where 124M, 1.4M and $80B are set large enough to be the message rather than decoration. A rebrand by Red & Co. cut the navigation from 52 links to seven, and that discipline holds all the way down: six items in the header, a research grid of small thumbnails and quiet type, and a charcoal sign-up block as the only dark moment on the page.
