Lesson Six
Lesson Six explains how tech hiring actually works, for people sending out applications without a network or a brand-name résumé. Its premise: the five lessons every career blog repeats — code, projects, credentials, LeetCode, apply everywhere — leave out the sixth, what happens on the hiring side.

The page runs on cream and deep forest green, with a serif italic dropped into nearly every heading — ‘getting hired’, ‘won’t do to you’, ‘actually need help’ — so each title reads as someone talking rather than a section label. Long dark panels break the scroll roughly every three screens, each anchored by an enormous numeral 6 set in white serif against a green gradient, which turns the site’s whole thesis into a recurring visual motif. Between them the article grid stays loose and unevenly sized, closer to a magazine contents page than a blog roll, and the row of four bare numbers near the top is set plainly enough to read as evidence rather than decoration.
