BirdBench
BirdBench is a small set of free browser tools for North American birders — hummingbird nectar ratios, nest box dimensions, a life list that stays on the device. Its Quiet Hotspots tool inverts the rare-bird alert, surfacing eBird locations nobody has filed a checklist from in weeks.

Notes
The page runs on bone-white paper stock and a single mustard accent — a highlighter block behind the wordmark, the checkmarks in the field notes, a hairline above the near-black footer. Its best move is the six tool cards, labelled FIG. 1 through FIG. 6 on small black tabs — plate numbering lifted from printed field guides, which makes a grid of web utilities read as a set of specimens. Everything else stays flat and unstyled: hairline card borders, line-drawn icons, a bench-and-bird sketch instead of a hero photo, and not one button asking for an email.
