Sedecordle

Sedecordle is a Wordle variant that runs sixteen five-letter puzzles at once, solved with 21 shared guesses. Brad Bednar coined the word and built it in an afternoon in 2022 because the variant ladder stopped at Octordle's eight; it reached 200,000 daily players within a month.

Notes

The home page is a menu and little else: a near-black field, one centred column, and a wordmark spelled out in the same green, yellow and grey tiles a finished guess row produces. Each mode gets a yellow display-weight heading, a single line of plain white explanation, and the two links that matter — Daily game, Practice — with Variations breaking to green to set it apart. Ad slots are pushed out to the left margin and the footer, so the column itself stays quiet. For a game whose next screen is sixteen grids at once, that restraint reads as deliberate pacing.
