Tennisyard is an independent review site covering tennis strings, racquets and gear for people who actually play. No string gets written up before 20 hours of play and no racquet before 15 hours of matches, and every review has to name something the product does badly.

tennisyard dresses a gear-review site in magazine clothes: an italic serif wordmark run nearly the width of the page, mono eyebrows keeping a running count of examinations and topics, and a single red dot doing all of the color work. The structure is old-school editorial — a cover story, an “also this week” rail, long reads filed beside string setups — which is not where that treatment usually goes. The restraint is the argument. A site promising no paid placements and no top-ten filler had better not look like one, and this one doesn’t.
