Waffle
Waffle is a daily word puzzle where all the letters are already on the board and the job is to shuffle them into six interlocking five-letter words. Every grid is built around a ten-swap solution but allows fifteen, making the margin for error exactly five moves.

The board is nearly the entire interface: a white column, a heavy black WAFFLE over the grey letterspaced puzzle number, and four small icon buttons pushed into the corners so nothing crowds the grid. Tiles are large rounded squares in three states — green, amber, pale grey — set far enough apart that the waffle’s four missing cells read as deliberate holes rather than a broken layout, and the only other element on screen is a swap counter in the same grey caps with its number bolded. Advertising is confined to the gutters outside the play column, so the puzzle stays as quiet as the rest of the page.
